Oliver lights up the show, literally! Since the early days of Deep Playa, Oliver has not only rocked the decks but also designed the production, from a simple set of twinkly lights, to our laser driven tunnel parties, to full-scale lighting productions, Oliver's aesthetic has kept on moving. His musical journey began at the age of 15 back in the UK and has spanned just about every musical style possible. Now known for his dark deep house beats, his performances take you on a journey, taking you up, down and everywhere in between.

At the age of 15 my DJ and production life started. I bought my first pair of Technics 1200s (still have them) and learned to DJ using vinyl. I was also working in theatre tech, and transforming the school disco into a full on club, I've had a varied musical and production past. At 17 I ran my own mobile DJ production for all your wedding, birthday, and bah-mitzvah needs, touring around in my Nissan Micra. I've played my fair share of 60s - 00's classics. I was also fortunate to work as a sound and lighting engineer for many years, producing concerts, shows, and nightclubs.
I moved to New York in 2013 and took a break from the scene, until 2020 happened and through a series of fortunate events, was invited to a beach party in July, a beach party that changed my life. As the sun began to set I pondered to myself "it's getting dark, where are the lights?". It turns out aside from folks costumes there were none, luckily I came prepared 🙂 .
This was the moment I met Daniela, the organisers of the beach party and asked if they'd like me to light things up, and with a big smile "YES PLEASE!" was the response. Little did I know it, but this was the start of a great friendship and incredible journey that ensued.

Building Deep Playa has been an incredible experience thus far. Daniela and I make an awesome team, each bringing their own unique flair to the mix. My role as production designer is to create a unique experience unlike anything you might have experienced in New York before. Bringing festival vibes to public spaces in NYC is something that many of our guests have responded positively to.
Creating unique experiences that traditional clubs can't offer is something that we excel at. Dancing under the stars with the sand between your toes, laughing with friends in what was once your regular local park now upgraded with laser beams dancing on the leaves, to feeling like you're in a Berlin underground rave in a tunnel in Brooklyn are all experiences that only Deep Playa guests have had.
Seeing people smile (even with just their eyes under their mask) in a year of sorrows has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Our community of party-goers is like no other I've experienced, especially the array of talented performers using light as their artistic medium.
Every event goes from strength to strength, with something new added to the mix to keep the party interesting. Now that New York is reopening, people have more options to choose from, and we're grateful to everyone who chooses to spend their evenings with Deep Playa.
The party really is only just getting started, we have many many more surprises in store for our amazing community, we want to grow, to spread the message of Deep Playa - love and inclusiveness built on top of awesome music and unforgettable experiences.
